The formula!
I found the formula!
Well I didn't find it because it found me as I read scripture this morning. Let me share:
look for joy + prayer + (gratitude) EVERYTHING - evil = a complete and whole life in the peace of Christ
Joy is around you, find it. Be prayerful, much like breathing. Multiply your gratitude by EVERYTHING. Remove anything that is evil. You will find the peace we are all seeking.
Can you trust this formula? I believe so. Completely. The One who is calling you is faithful.
Check out 1 Thessalonians 5:14-24. The Apostle Paul wrote this letter to the Christ followers that had left their previous lives behind. They were living Thessalonica which was in the middle of Macedonia - in them middle of the Romans who were telling them how to live which was against their religious foundation, and pagans who lived life in a way not of Christ. They were trapped in the middle of evil, danger and oppression. Paul gives them the formula of how to withstand the things that seem to be surrounding them.
Today:
- Read the bible.
- Seek joy in your midst.
- Pray for those that are struggling.
- Reach out to friends and check on them.
- Try to activate the formula!
