Even When You Can't See

Good Morning Friends!! This post comes a bit later than usual...there is a reason. (or an excuse, I often get those two mixed up.) The Monday after Easter is a slow day for me. Typically this day is slow because it comes at the end of a big, long week of ministry and family - same this year (except big family meant involving technology). The Monday after Easter typically follows a long day of worship - not so much the same this year. SPOILER ALERT This year, because of incoming storms, we filmed the Sunrise service on Saturday morning, so up at 3am. The rest of the day was spent finishing up the other online service we released for Holy Easter communion and then yard work. Nothing was typical. Except this...

The moment was spectacular but going online, receiving pictures from both photographers, and experiencing others worshipping as I received the gift of sitting back and worshipped with them on Sunday, together! It was beautiful. The walls of homes, space and time melted away. It was beautiful, peaceful and God was present.
And the the moment - the moment we got to see online during worship that we didn't get to see the day of filming, the SUN. We knew the drone went above the fog. We knew the drone "saw" the sun as we watched the monitor, but in the moment of worship seeing the sun as the song "Empty Grave" rang out with passion, gave me chills.  The Sun!!! The Sun!!! The promise that no matter how dark so we can't see Him - the Son is there!

The lesson as I study today, as I read 1 Peter 1:3-9, is that the joy is there when you can't see. The hope is there when you can't see. The salvation is there...even when you can't see!

Today:
Don't look for the Son outside in the sky
Look for the Son in your home - your family
Find someone that needs to see Jesus right now.
Tag them in our Sunrise Service - or anyone's worship service that spoke to you.
Share the Son you see and the Son that is there when you can't see.
